'A cheerful perch' is a piece that celebrates the Spring garden and the joy of the glorious yellow tones of the primroses and daffodils. The little blue tit joins the colourful display as he perches on the edge of a vintage, hand thrown terracotta pot. The blue tit has been needle felted firmly for longevity and his wings have hand painted detailing. He is approximately 12cm in length from the tip of his beak to the end of his tail. Within the pot are handmade wool felt daffodils and primroses. The primroses and their leaves have been hand coloured and stitched. The flowers and leaves are wired and posable. There are two ivy leaves draping over the edge of the pot which have also been wired, hand coloured and stitched. Lying within the pot is a wet felted pebble which has been sewn into to give the feeling of moss and lichen covering it. The wool sculpture stands at approximately 30cm in height and 25cm wide. There is a Wild & Wool fabric label attached to an ivy leaf at the back. Needs to be handled with care due to it's delicate nature.
Sorry this wool sculpture is not a toy and unsuitable for children under 12, due to possible choking hazards.
