This heirloom Christmas wreath features a needle felted dormouse called Alfie. Alfie wears a warm brown coloured jumper over his blue striped pyjama bottoms. He is snuggled up in a tan coloured cotton quilt nestled inside a hand painted wicker basket. Alfie's little arms are wrapped tightly around a small hand stitched red gingham stocking. peeking out of the stocking are a candy cane, a gold foil Christmas cracker and a piece of cheese. In one hand he grasps a tiny red enamel alarm clock. The wreath is made of willow and is 30cm x 30cm in size. Alfie is approximately 12cm in height to the bottom of the basket. The wreath is hung on a luxury double sided burgundy velvet loop. The willow wreath has been embellished with hand made roses, hand sewn and wired ivy leaves, holly leaves, mistletoe, a poppy seed head as well as needle felted acorns, beech nuts and fabric covered buttons. Alfie is strung in the centre of the wreath by the velvet ribbon tied in a bow and above him is a small Indian bell. This enables him to swing freely like a mobile or he can be displayed flat against a wall when hung on a hook. There is a Wild & Wool fabric label attached.
