This heirloom Christmas wreath features a needle felted badger called Douglas. Douglas wears a pair of olive coloured, hand sewn wool trews which give the effect of tweed or tartan. On his feet are a pair of black welly boots which are snow covered with white glitter and balanced on one boot is a glittered snowball. Wrapped snuggly round his neck is a hand knitted red wool scarf with pom pom detail and perched over one ear is a striped wool beanie. Douglas has one paw tucked into his pocket and under his arm sits a beautifully wrapped miniature Christmas present. He holds up a snow covered Christmas tree planted in a small red enamel bucket in his other paw. The wreath is made of willow and is 30cm x 30cm in size. Douglas is approximately 20cm in height. The wreath is hung on a luxury double sided burgundy velvet loop. The willow wreath has been embellished with hand made roses, hand sewn and wired ivy leaves, holly leaves, mistletoe, a poppy seed head as well as needle felted acorns, beech nuts and fabric covered buttons. Douglas is strung in the centre of the wreath by the velvet ribbon tied in a bow and above him is a small Indian bell. This enables him to swing freely like a mobile or he can be displayed flat against a wall when hung on a hook. There is a Wild & Wool fabric label attached.
