This heirloom Christmas wreath features a needle felted Jack Russell terrier called Duke. Duke wears a warm tan wool waistcoat with gold button detail. His woolly trews are an olive green colour with a gold thread, stitched pinstripe. Around his neck, Duke wears a deep red silk cravat scarf, tied in a bow. Perched on his head is a brown felt top hat with holly sprig detail. In one paw he holds a tiny wooden cane with a brass bird head top. Clutched in his other paw is a hand stitched stocking filled with a gold glitter tree, a metal candy cane and a tiny wrapped Christmas parcel.  The wreath is made of willow and is 30cm x 30cm in size. Duke is approximately 20cm in height. The wreath is hung on a luxury double sided burgundy velvet loop. The willow wreath has been embellished with hand made roses, hand sewn and wired ivy leaves, holly leaves, mistletoe, a poppy seed head as well as needle felted acorns, beech nuts and fabric covered buttons. Duke is strung in the centre of the wreath by the velvet ribbon tied in a bow and above him is a small Indian bell. This enables him to swing freely like a mobile or he can be displayed flat against a wall when hung on a hook. There is a Wild & Wool fabric label attached.
