Digby mole has tunnelled his way above ground to see his friend Dash snail. He finds a blustery Winter's day but signs that Spring is fast approaching. He rushes to grab his little handmade kite and picks some catkins and sunny yellow daffodils to brighten his burrow.
This wool sculpture is approximately 18cm in height to the top of Digby's head and 21cm wide from the edge of the kite to the flowers in the backpack. Digby mole has been needle felted firmly for longevity and is made from 100% British wool. His eyes are black glass and he wears a pair of spectacles on his nose. Digby wears a dapper check bow tie round his neck. Dash snail has been needle felted then stitched into with many embroidered stitches on her shell. She sits cosily in Digby's left hand and is attached to him. In Digby's right hand is clutched a kite string which is metal and can be posed. The kite is made of cotton fabrics. In Digby's handmade linen backpack is a posy of catkins, daffodils and an ivy leaf which have all been made with wool and 100% wool felt and hand stitched. There is a wild & wool fabric label attached to the backpack.
Sorry this wool sculpture is not a toy and unsuitable for children under 12, due to possible choking hazards.
