Heath mouse
Through fields of clover and heaps of grain, he searches in sunshine and scampers in rain. He's looking for love, with a gentleman's grace. A tiny romancer in this wide open space. No crumb is as precious, no cheese is as fine, as the whiskers he seeks for his own Valentine.
 
This wool sculpture is approximately 20cm in height to the top of Heath's top hat and 17cm wide from the edge of the felt heart in his tail to the edge of the toadstool in his paw. Heath mouse has been needle felted firmly for longevity and is made from 100% British wool. His eyes are black glass beads and he wears a black felt top hat on his head with a tiny valentine's card tucked into the brim. Heath wears a dapper red silk scarf round his neck finished with a tiny red heart. on his feet he wears red wellington boots. In his left paw he holds a tall stemmed toadstool staff. The toadstool has been needle felted and stitched into with many embroidered stitches in silver, gold and rose gold threads. In Heath's right hand is clutched a miniature felt red rose and curled under his tail is a needle felted red heart with a red satin ribbon bow. There is a wild & wool fabric label attached to a red ceramic heart button attached to his scarf.
