This needle felted, vase stem piece has been inspired by the fleeting sight of a tiny Jenny wren amongst branches full of fluttering catkins. The little Jenny wren has been needle felted and stitched into with embroidery threads. She is approximately 8cm tall by 7.5cm wide. The branches are wired and can be posed as can the wired catkins and ivy leaves. The catkins have been needle felted and sewn into with different shades of muted yellows. The ivy leaves have been hand coloured and sewn into and they create a skirt of wired leaves that hold the branch stem upright and in place in a bottle neck vase or a vase with a narrow neck. Resting on one of the ivy leaves is a tiny needle felted, sleepy bumble bee. The wool piece stands at approximately 38cm in height by 38cm wide. There is a Wild & Wool fabric label attached.
Sorry this wool sculpture is not a toy and unsuitable for children under 12, due to possible choking hazards.
