I have an obsession with the magical foxglove! Folklore tells that if you plant them it is an invitation for fairies to enter your garden ... but they are also nectar rich magnets for bees and butterflies. This is my hommage to the beautiful pink toned foxglove.
This foxglove is approximately 45cm in height and made from 100% wool felt. the Cabbage white butterfly has been needle felted using British wools and then sewn into with various embroidery threads to add colour and texture. The butterfly is attached to the foxglove. This piece looks lovely displayed in a bottle neck vase where the wired foxglove leaves help balance and hold the piece in place. There is a Wild & Wool fabric label sewn into a leaf.
Sorry this foxglove is not a toy and unsuitable for children under 12, due to possible choking hazards.
