I have an obsession with the magical foxglove! Folklore tells that if you plant them it is an invitation for fairies to enter your garden ... but they are also nectar rich magnets for bees and butterflies. This is my hommage to the white foxglove.
This foxglove is approximately 45cm in height and made from 100% wool felt. the dragonfly has been needle felted using British and merino wools and then sewn into with various embroidery threads to add colour and texture. The dragonfly is attached to the foxglove. This piece needs to be displayed in a bottle neck vase which helps to hold the top heavy weight of the foxglove in place. There is a Wild & Wool fabric label sewn in.
Sorry this foxglove is not a toy and unsuitable for children under 12, due to possible choking hazards.
